Patton's idea was to drive the Nazis all the way to Moscow, where
Stalin would finish them off.  But Stalin was more interested in
defending Stalingrad rather than Moscow.  So Patton had to find a
different way to defeat them Nazis.

Actually, V-Day *is* celebrated.  Every year.
It is a celebration of life, of our soldiers coming
home, with the war being over.
