When you peel away all the innuendo, smoke and mirrors, and misdirection that
attaches to most things of any significance, you ultimately end up with black
and white.  In other words, take it down to the most elemental level and it
becomes, in most cases, a choice between good and evil.  Evil is not always
some monstrous tyrant like Hitler either. Evil is more often just the failure
of good to do what is right.

Whatever the errors are that we make as a nation, ultimately the US is a force
for good in the world.  Some people may get their back up and take umbrage at
what we do in that respect, but America is far and away more caring and more
generous than the rest of the world.  We give away in dollar value enough food
and money to help the less fortunate in this world every year than the national
budget of nearly every country on earth.  You very seldom hear any American
bitching about it either.  We view it as our duty - what we owe for the good
fortune and privilege that we are lucky to have.

So, you can rag on us all you want to, but it won't make any difference.  When
we are called before our maker (whoever and however you view that) the United
States, as a nation, will be exalted and will sit on the right hand of that
maker.  Nations that took no stand against tyranny and despotism, or
collaborated under the guise of neutrality, will be thrown down and trampled in
the dust.

Sweden will be near the top of that list, along with Spain, Jordan, Syria,
Russia, China, Germany and a lot of others.  If what I've said makes you angry
or makes you squirm uncomfortably, then that is simply proof I am right on
target.
