The Iraqis showed more guts on Sunday than many Americans display every four
years; they went out and voted.


I seem to recall hearing about people having to stand in long lines to vote
in November.


Sunday, Iraqis *gladly* stood in long lines to cast their vote for the first
time in many decades.


Americans drive to a polling place, and then leave simply because the parking
lot is full. Iraqis were walking to polling places, being carried, wheeled
there in wheel chairs, going on crutches.


The Iraqi citizens put the `fair weather' Americans to shame, Sunday. I'm
proud of them. And I didn't hear about any of them writing in the name of
some washed-up WWC wrestler just to waste their vote, either. Nor have I
heard of any ballots that had Osama bin Laden's name written in by the voter,
and marked as a vote.


This success for the citizens of Iraq spells the beginning of the end for
Middle Eastern terrorists. Their days are numbered. I expect that soon the
ordinary citizenship of Iraq and some other Mid-East countries will begin to
rise up against the criminal terrorists in their midst. Sunday in Iraq just
may have been the push that starts the boulder rolling down hill. Once it
picks up momentum, nothing can stop it.
