You're confusing individuals with a group mindset.  I know plenty of individual
liberals who would write a check, etc.  That has nothing to do with the
ideological mindset of those we commonly refer to as "liberal."  You know very
well that the ideology called liberalism is the root of many of this countries
ills today, and that the roots go all the way back to the "federalists" of
revolutionary days.
