EC>>George Bush is really interested in getting some Wall Street

LL> GWB wants to create an "ownership society"! With Wall Street
LL> brokers making big bucks, at the expense of the poor!

Listen to yourself. Do you realize how idiotic you sound when you spout that
crap? Yeah, old GW is sitting there in the White House scheming his ass off to
come up with ways to squeeze an extra nickel out of every poor slob on welfare.
 Sure thing, Lee!

EC>>If you are really interested in hearing what someone said a few

EC>>Security during the Clinton administration. Sheesh.

LL> The social security program is the Democrats baby. That's why
LL> Democrats are so adamant in their opposition to change, as proposed by the
 LL> Bush administration.

They are scared to death because they know if Bush fixs things, they will lose
one of their largest voting blocks. Nobody with any grounding in reality at
all believes what they're trying to sell.

EC>>It is astounding how someone can look at the performance of the

 EC>>it in the stock market?

LL> Playing the stock market is akin to playing russian roulette.
LL> Maybe you win, probably not. And most folks do not have the luxury of
LL> pissing their money away. Especially those who depend on a guaranteed
LL> benefit come their retirement years.

There are proven ways to invest in the stock market over the long term to
achieve profitability. Large companies have been doing it for decades, and so
have a lot of individuals. First, you scare the hell out of people telling
them Republicans are going to ruin SS, then you cut them off at the knees by
raising the retirement age and the FICA ceiling to keep alive a giant ponzi
scheme called Social Security. What a bunch of guys you are!

EC>>From this we can tell if their allies, the Democrats, are telling
EC>>it straight or just doing their best to keep control of the workers'
EC>> money. I say the Democrats are lying to keep control. What do you
 EC>>say?

LL> Everybody lies. But some are more economical with the truth. And
LL> that is the problem with Bush's proposal. Bush has failed to spell out
LL> many details of his plan. And that means he has no real "plan" to
LL> "save" social security. Rather, he plans to end it.

You moron. There are no details yet. They are still gathering ideas and
information from all available sources before deciding on the best course to
follow. How many times does Bush have to say that?

EC>>You must not care about succeeding generations - our kids,
 EC>>grandkids and their kids.

LL> Bush claims to be a "compassionate conservative". But so far, I
LL> have seen very little "compassion" to Bush's "conservatism".

You wouldn't know compassion if it ran up and kicked you in the balls.
