Didn't need any. Iraq was a sponsor of terrorism... But you know all the
reasons why we went into Iraq, whether you'll admit it or not.

War is about power. The ones with the power make the rules.

They didn't seize anything. That's another myth perpetrated by the left to
make us feel guilty about native americans. The early white settlers bought
and paid for their land, and there is plenty of documentation to prove that.

 GB>>Migration again.

GB>> TA> We defeated the Soviet-commonists without "shock and owe"

At the price of nearly 50 years of living under the shadow of nuclear
holocaust. So much so, that it literally drove our economy for decades. I'd
rather have had the shock and awe.

Neither of those wars was a UN war. They were wars run by politicians instead
of generals, and they got a lot of good men killed for nothing.

GB>> TA> and we can do it again when we decide to forgo some modern

So, you're another Luddite, eh?

GB>>The lack of SUV's will solve war? What a concept.

TA> Better relying on non-flying Texas Air National officers.

Or draft-dodging pukes who run off to Canada or pretend to be Rhodes Scholars.

TA> Discussion of those facts of life are not acceptable in this Echo.

That's crap, and you know it. The problem is not that its unacceptable, its
that you can't discuss it without spouting a lot of left wing boilerplate
rhetoric that we all know is eyewash.

GB>> TA> I think we would easily succeed in that effort if we stopped
GB>> TA> purchaseing petroleum products offshore by an acclaimed

GB>> TA> where the $$$ the use to buy Japanese cars, etc. came from.

You're getting senile. We only get 40% of our oil from overseas, the rest is
from right here in this hemisphere. I'd also like to hear how you plan to cut
10% a month without destroying the economy. Btw, all those Japanese cars you
like to bash? Most of them are built right here in the good old USA, so 95% of
the money stays right here in this country.

GB>>I am all for finding alternatives to oil.

TA> I kinda like the new Ford Focus. Which hybrid car do you prefer?

You guys are really something. You bitch about how much oil we use, and want
to cut us off at the knees by restricting our use, and at the same time you
expect the US to play policeman to the world, and to increase our distribution
of food and other relief to poor countries. First, the US leads the world in
technology that makes more efficient use of oil. We provide the petrochemicals
and other products that allow all those poor third worlders to grow bigger,
healthier crops to feed themselves. Second, we have cleaned up the air and
water in the US to the point that we can now export the technology to the world
to help clean it up - instead of such damn fool nonsense like the Kyoto Accords
which would ruin the US economy (and stop all those things we do to help the
world) while favoring those who are massively polluting the world.
Third, you want to send our military into every hot spot around the world to be
peacekeepers, but you undermine their efforts by making speeches here at home
that expose them to danger politically.

Yeah, you liberals have really got all the answers, don't ya, Thurston?
