First of all, if those who evade the troops are home free (as they are
now), all the troops in the world can't close the border.

Second, we allow illegals all the tries they want -- one border
patrolman on TV said he caught the same group three times in one 8-hour
shift.  If you just send them back, they keep trying until they find
your weakness.

Third, the troops aren't trained for the job -- what does Joe Tentpeg
do when he catches a smuggler with a kilo of cocain?  If he doesn't
handle it just right, there will be no conviction.

Fourth, what happens when an American citizen gets killed (Marines were
withdrawn from the border when they killed a 14-year old kid not so long
ago.)

Fifth, if we use the Army for a Border Patrol, what do we use for an
Army?
