 Yes, the Republican smear machine did a good job. Clinton, with
 all the attacks on him, and facing real opponents, still won.
 Bush, with the advantage of smearing his opponents, supported by
 massive big money contributions, still managed to lose the
 popular vote in 2000, take the election only when the supreme
 court awarded it to him, and win in 2004 by a few percent. Which
 still left rational accusations of vote theft.

 SH> Then there's impeachment, disbarment and settling with

 Then there's Bush's running three companies into the ground but
 being bailed out by oil company execs, and supported by foreign
 oil sheiks. Not to mention insider trading that was investigated
 by his father's own people, and even then the whitewash was so
 weak they had to seal the records.

 SH> Paula Jones.  There's also the joy of knowing that Chelsea
 SH> read, "The president finished himself off in the Oval
 SH> Office sink." And, "The president put the cigar in his
 SH> mouth and said, 'That tastes good.'"

 For which you can blame the Bush Butt kissing press. And just
 how does that compare with the Bush family, Bush daughters
 reading their daddy got his money on insider trading and
 influence peddling. Then the girls learn he refused to even
 deny using drugs, then it being revealed that he didn't want to
 answer because he didn't want young people trying what he did.

 And then their daddy had a DUI conviction, went AWOL from the
 Guard, and has lied his way through life all along.

 All that and underage drinking.

 Wonder if they sit around and discuss this with Jeb's druggie
 daughter, who was caught with drugs in rehab. And with Jeb's son
 who screws underage girls but daddy fixes it.

 Think you could someday support a policy of honesty and
 openness?

  Let the truth be known. Let the chips fall where they may.
