But hey, I aint rich and I got a tax cut..

I remember discussing the taxcut back then, I remember all the liberals telling
me in the Summer of 2001 on how *I* didnt need that rebate or the reduction in
my fed taxes. As if their liberalness endowed them with the ability to decide
what monies people need or should have. Since you live on a entitlement program
concocted by liberals, you above all should know that they were terribly wrong
about that, since that check isnt anything to write home about.

However, you know the political process, we could have never had a GWB, thus no
Iraq, and the bridge collapse, burst steam pipes would have still happened..

Politicians dont throw money at a problem such as this until someting actually
breaks. Case in point, 9-11, it took that event for the feds to realize that
they needed to increase airport security, maybe throw in a few air marshalls?

How many courthouse shootings did we have until they realized, hey lets install
metal detectors?

Of course lets not lose sight of the fact that this isnt the only bridge
failure we have seen, and I dont reference Ms Galloping gertie in the Tacoma
Narrows over in Ceppas backyard either.

Didnt we have a bridge collapse on I-95 in Connecticut a number of years back?

there was bridge that failed that crossed into Ohio from West Virginia, because
of its design.

In our nation, when govts at all levels award contracts to the lowest bidder,
we inevitably get what we paid for. You want cheap, you get cheap.

I say this in context here, because it blows my mind,,, I have been down here
in SC for 20 years now, if you look at a map of my state and city, you will see
that Spartanburg SC is located along interstate 85, Spartanburg is 30 miles up
I-85 from Greenville SC. Ever since I have been here and to this day, there is
some sort of construction going on on that stretch of the Interstate. Gee hire
someone to do it right the first time and take down them barriers!
