 Yes, that used to be the standard. Since then too many brave men
 who faced the worst the world have to throw at them have cried
 at the loss of their comrades. I would bet a lot of Police and
 fire fighters cried at the loss of their buddies on 9-11.

 The counter arguement is not to her father's point, but to her
 interpretation. Under Catholic teaching her duty to the unborn
 child does not end at birth. It is her duty to work to see to it
 that the child she demands be born be given a decent upbringing,
 decently provide for, and a real world chance of leaving
 poverty. This must be done even if it means the government step
 in to feed the child.

 There is a popular belief that Ronald Reagan got a degree in
 economics. In reality, he got a BA degree, just that, a Bachelor
 of Arts, and his concentration of study was economics... and
 sociology. The American Sociology Association has him listed on
 their website among famous sociology grads. Along with him is
 the Archbishop of Washington DC, and the Chief Justice of the
 Texas Supreme Court. Also Dinah Shore... just thought I'd toss
 that in.
