 2004 was 4 years ago. The commission was hampered by
 administration control of what they saw. More has come out since
 then. Perhaps the greatest obstruction to the commission was
 that it was bi-partisan, not partisan in favor of the truth.

 Which is irrelevant, since none of the documentation the
 pentagon report is based on was available then, nor was a lot of
 other material.

 Secondly, as the pentagon report said, Saddams terrorism was
 overwhelmingly aimed at Iraqis who challenged him.

 You should know, as it's been posted in Fido often enough,
 Saddam was a major terrorist, when he was supported by the
 Reagan/Bush administration. He was, however, a terroris against
 his own people and other Arabs far more than anyone else.

 According to the Naval War College Review, Spring 2000, Iraq was
 not a significant terror threat to the US. After Clinton hit his
 intelligence agency headquarters he ceased to be a threat to
 the US at all.

 I have read it, did you? They say Saddam and Al Qaeda sometimes
 had *PARALLEL* interests, but no evidence they ever worked
 together, and didn't even claim any significant contacts. That
 was the source for my statement, above, that Saddam's terrorism
 was against Iraqis. Seldom outside Iraq. He did have plans and
 intentions for attacks on European or American interests, but
 the are more pipe dreams, because they said they cannot find one
 single case of such terrorism. The only attempt they cited was
 an operative who was sent to England, but failed because he
 didn't even get a visa to get into the country.

 The did list one item the Iraqi intelligence claimed as a
 significant accomplishment, establishing an email account for
 one of their agencies. One email account.

 Iraqi terrorism was a joke for anyone but Iraqis. And right
 wingers.

 All the while the one country in the world more involved in
 international terrorism, the financier of Islamic hate, the
 country that provided the 9-11 hijackers and the homeland of
 Osama Bin Laden, and the country that did more to fund Islamic
 Fundamentalist terror, Saudi Arabia, has been Bush's bossom
 buddies all along.

 Tell us again how wonderful Bush is.
