 How would you know that, and what is "many"? Many did believe he
 would not get a fair trial.

 As it turned out, an incompetent prosecution and an apparently
 bigoted cop would tend to support that.

 The possibility that a lot of people of every race thought they
 were guilty doesn't cross your mind?

 The most certainly did not believe they would be put to trial
 for a bunch of wealthy white kids raping a black stripper. The
 fact that her job as a stripper was brought up so much alone
 would suggest they were going to walk.

 The fact that "many" whites bring this one case up endlessly,
 and never mention the cases of black men sent to prison for
 years for crimes they did not commit is an indicator that the
 real issue is on the other side.

 More people did more time for a crime they did not commit in the
 Central Park Jogger case than in the Duke Lacrosse case. Where
 is their apology or compensation?
