ELizabeth is too old to counter the age argument that is put up against McCain.
Condi is an intellectual, a former
university administrator iirc.  THat doesn't set well with
the ultra right.  shoots them both down.

Amen brother.  Otoh ROn Paul got elected to congress *as* a
libertarian.  HE made no bones about what he was and waht he stood for when the
folks in his TExas district sent him to
congress.

I wish these Mormons and others would just stfu and let us
get back to something that really has some importance to
somebody.  I don't find anything at all appealing in
homosexuality, but best thing i can do is ignore it.  I've
worked with many over the years who were.  OTher than
wishing to keep my distance from them when making
arrangements for temporary living quarters when traveling I
had no problem.

AS a sound tech for one show I found myself sharing a hotel
room often that tour with a lighting tech who was as "queer
as a $3 bill" and I just explained to him that if he found a "boyfriend" or
whatever I'd go hang by the pool for awhile,
and would expect the same courtesy if I were to find a lady
to keep company with for an hour or two.

MOst of the time it didn't happen, by the time the show was
over and all the gear broke down and packed away, the only
guys getting it on were the performers who had plenty of
time, energy, and opportunity.  US behind the scenes folks
didn't get to play wink and play with the audience, and we
still had a couple of hours of work to do when the show was
over <g>.
