Do you have psychic abilities?  Until you do, refrain from making guesses

There you go again.  I do not condone what the terrorists have done.

Your approval of torture is what undermines our military.  How can 
the US cry out against torture of our troops when it is just as 
guilty of the same?    

As to intelligence, anyone versed in proper interrogation techniques knows
that torture yields little if any actionable material.  What is gathered is
either false or simple agreement on anything that the person tortured thinks
the interrogator wants to hear.

By doing what?  Taking our own ideals and tossing them in the mud?  

We do our country a great dishonor by not living up to the ideals 
our forefathers fought for.

That is the price of freedom and having rights as individuals.  To 
discard them when inconvenient simply means that you don't really stand for
those ideals you claim makes America great.

Those who throw away America's ideals are those play into the enemies' 
hands.  That they can so easily get us to trash our own Constitution's 
values does not bodewell for this country.  Good people died for it.  Now 
we are supposed to toss our good name in the sewer because we are afraid of 
some terrorists?  

We don't deserve this country if we can't live up to the high moral position
we claim to have.  Doing what we have done in Gitmo has caused far more harm
than the actual 9/11 attacks.  At that point in time we had most all of the 
world on our side.  In rather short shift, all that good will was lost, and 
then some.
