  Ever see some of the 'DC suburbs?  Chances of a young black male being 
involved with a gang before he graduates is quite distinct.

-> national average," while Sen. DeMint's home state of South Carolina had

-> graduation rate of "almost 56 percent," the fourth worst in the nation.


  This doesn't take into account that standards in 'DC schools are way
below the national average and it is extremely difficult to get quality 
teachers to remain in those schools for very long. 'DC schools have come
under fire for 'graduating' students who can barely read.  Most of the 
exams they give are multiple choice and True/False.  If the range of 
grades in a given classroom are, say, 20 through 55, the students who 
get a score of 55 are considered 'A students'.    Liberals have 
gutted most public schools of their educational integrity a long time
ago so as to make sure that no student feels he or she is not as good 
as the other students.  But that's okay, I'm sure they feeeeel good 
about what they're doing.
