LEONID METEORS PEAK

Remnant meteors from the weak, long-lasting Taurid meteor shower will
appear from time to time this week. The much more famous Leonids are
expected to peak on Wednesday morning, November 17th, well after the
crescent Moon has set. However, no meteor storm is anticipated; you'll
probably see an average of only 10 meteors per hour.

SPOT VESTA AND URANUS

Two solar-system bodies just below naked-eye brightness can be found with
binoculars in eastern Aquarius on November evenings. The minor planet 4
Vesta loops through the dim "water streams" pouring from Aquarius's
bucket. Uranus, which is 10 to 13 times farther away, moves much more
slowly as it glows at magnitude 5.8 south of Aquarius's elbow.
