         Uh-huh.  There are times when I just want somebody to take care of me.
In general, however, I can't get out of the place fast enough....  :-)

         I'll bet you did too!  IIRC it was a school day, and we went about our
business as usual.  We were shocked, of course... who wouldn't be??  But I find
this person's reaction amusing in a pathetic sort of way.  I don't know of many
people in the city who can afford to do without the bathtub for very long.  And
it seems a major component of terrorism is that the victims can't be sure when,
where, or how it will strike next.  When folks like the survivalist panic, they
are playing right into the hands of the terrorists.

         I was impressed by the Queen's response to the bombings in London... a
city which has been bombed more often than I can count within her own lifetime.
If the terrorists have something to say there, they'll need to find better ways
to communicate.  I gather the IRA have finally got the picture, anyhow....  :-/
