I'd assume some kind of election or at least succession ritual would have to
be performed. Of course, provided the High Command was as in charge of the
society as it seemed (although, as Syrran said, it was originally primarily
charged with exploration...), the whole organization disbanding would
probably present some problems in that regard.

We do know that T'Pau becomes a major player in the way things are run on
Vulcan and, later, the only person to turn down a seat on the Federation
Council (at least before "Amok Time").

Maybe we'll have a mention of how Vulcan is putting back together in the
future... or we aren't supposed to think about it over much.

On a related note, I have to wonder what ultimately happens with Surak's
katra. We know that it's in the priest's head at the end of the episode,
but what did he do with it? I suppose the proper thing would be to put it
in a katric arc, but they could use it -- along with the Kir'Shara -- in
order to figure out how to rebuild their society.

Is T'Pol "a self-proclaimed Syrrannite"? Sure, she told the soldier who
found her that she was, but I get the impression that she was...
exaggerating to protect Archer. After all, she made a big deal about Archer
being headed in the direction and then backing it up by saying "Syrrannites
do not lie." So, even if that is correct (and, if there is any infamous
Vulcan line, speaking of Vulcans as being unable to lie is it), it would be
logical that by pointing out a certain segment doesn't lie and then saying
she's part of that group could, as easily, be a lie.

Although T'Pau attempting (we never found out if she succeeded) to repair
the neurological damage would certainly help convince her of some things, I
got the impression that she was still unconvinced...

Either way, I can see your point. As someone who helped turned Vulcan
society upside down, T'Pol must be regarded in some parts as a pariah.
Given the status of Koss' family in the old structure, I'd assume that he
(or, perhaps more importantly, his parents) are among that group.
Therefore, Koss would have ample motivation to sweep his marriage under the
carpet.

Well, hopefully there will be time to do so, but the series also has other
balls to keep in the air... So they aren't going to spend all their time on
Vulcan.

Generally speaking, things have been up since the season premiere. The Soong
arc fared the best, with the early Vulcan episodes -- especially last week's
"Awakening" -- dipping a bit. In the overnight ratings, "Kir'Shara" tied
the final rating for "The Augments" (the final rating for "Kir'Shara" won't
be in until next week) for a season high.

That's the good news. The bad news is that the highest Friday rating so far
has been a 2.1. Now, that's far and away better than UPN's old Friday night
movies, but also below what ENTERPRISE usually got last year. I think it
also usually beats the WB's comedy block (it definitely did this week).

There are also other factors that could be considered. For example,
ENTERPRISE is one of the ten most Tivoed shows for a full season. Just
today, a report came out that William Shatner anticapates making an
appearance "next season," but a Paramount executive said it was still
possible this year... in a cliffhanger.
