  Let's correct the OP's statement... A *disproportionate* number of
terrorists are Muslim *extremists*.  Is that better?

  True, you have the whole Irish thing going on, and Bosnia.  But their
terrorist plots are for the most part contained inside their own little
world.

  You have Muslim *extremists* causing instability in the Phillipines.
You have Muslim *extremists* causing instability in Russia (okay,
contributing to an already unstable Russia), Muslim *extremists* causing
  problems in Italy and France.

  Yeah, there are Christian extremists out there, but its RARE that they
go on killing rampages and drive to violently overthrow governments and
kill hundreds of innocent people.  At least not in the last 200-300 years.

  Explain that, please.  Of course there are political ties to things we
do over there, but there's also huge *humanitarian* reasons as well.

Even KNOWING they hate us and would just as soon see us nuked tomorrow
as shake our hand.

  I'd say "Thanks, Uncle Sam, for offering to rebuild my house and my
life."  Meanwhile, how many FOREIGN nations would offer me any help
whatsoever?  Oh, I'm sure the Unite Arab Emmirates would POUR in the
money to help all the flooded people in Florida.

  Maybe for our next natural disaster, we should find popular
evangelists  who will go on TV and say "This is God's punishment for
giving money to his enemies, the Muslims!"

  Its too bad that the *vast majority* of people in those nations who
ARE  normal and kind can't gather the will-power and strength to tell
the extremists who hold them down to just get the hell out.
