Then again, that "model" show looks as if it costs about 49 cents per 
episode... one decent commercial likely pays for the entire show.   Of 
course then every other spot is pure gravy.    Add to this the "extras" 
that such a show will  garner from participants who would view it as a 
chance to hang face on TV...  no expenses to amount to much of 
anything.    This is why all  those reality shows are popping up everywhere 
because they cost next to nothing to make compared to a serious show's 
episode.

And, if UPN had the sort of exposure as, for instance, FOX... ENT would 
likely be doing well.    In fact, if FOX had the show it likely would have 
been doing much better and nobody would be arguing about loss of revenue 
and production expenses.    UPN is simply NOT the place for any Trek show.

Exposure and promotions would prove otherwise.   Sci-Fi's Friday night 
lineup is doing very well and all the shows have been picked up for another 
season.

....I'd almost have half-way expected that maybe Fridays might be OK for ENT 
seeing as how I (and likely others) would watch ENT at 8, then switch to 
Sci-Fi and watch SG-A, BG, and the repeat of SG which also airs earlier at 
8...  which would be the only flaw in the reasoning since its first airing 
is at the same time EST as ENT, but since it airs again after BG that's not 
a problem.

Works out nicely for me, a night of Sci-Fi and all is well.   And, for 
those who must go out and play on Friday nights, TIVO, videotape 
etc.    Etc...

But then again, we're dealing with UPN which doesn't seem to be really on 
top of things here.    Me, I'd be glad to sign any-all petitions to get ENT 
into another network or have it run  via syndication ala TNG or 
whatever.    Hell, since USA Network is a VIACOM property, maybe ENT would 
work out better there and garner a more "appropriately-demographed" 
audience as well and make money.     But I'm just rambling.

I'd not cry a dry tear if UPN were to fold after ENT is dropped, whether 
the demise of ENT had anything to do with it or not.
