I know.  You may not remember I ran OS/2 since the December 1992 beta and on
through Warp 3.  It was very stable.  One of the things I really liked about it
is that if a power failure occurred, any and all programs that were running at
the time were restarted when power was restored.

It's worse than Usenet.  (-8  Do you realize that XP is no longer supported?

I'm too old to learn Linux and the one time I did install it, I found the
serial rputines were too buggy for me, so it sits on a shelf with some of the
rest of my junk,  The rest of the junk, except for two backup systems, sit on
the closet floor.

 HG> Windows 10 feels tempting and I've been promised the laptop of my

It does have some "goodies" in it, is somewhat intuitive, but you have to be
careful upon installing that too much of your personal information is not made
available to M$ or anyone else.  This can be accomplished by going through the
setup in the Control Panel and turning off some of its defaults.
