I don't do it that way, if I learn about a free program that sounds
interesting to me I grab it and it goes to my ROUNDTUIT List.

Sometimes I look at the files I've saved a long time ago and have to
try to figure what they are for and why I downloaded it.

I remember someone saying this:

"Get all you can, Can all you get, sit on the lid and poison the rest."

I don't do that last part, but I thought about it while reading your
message to me.

Yep!, Give that man a 20 cent cigar!, QBASIC knows how to read ASCII
and with a little effort GW-BASIC can save the file as ASCII.

I remember an old TV show called The Advengers where Steed visited
a Ham Radio Operators home and the man there had Chess Games on several
tables, and when someone called him on his radio with their move he
would make their move and call them back telling them his move.

Which made me think of two young Hams that did the same thing on a
local Ham Radio Frequency.
Someone would be talking on the freqency and one of them would ask to
Break In and just call the other guy and state his Chess Move and hear
the other guy acknowledge it, and they would sign out until the next
time one of them decided to tell what move they made.
No one on the Frequency minded them using it that way.
They were having fun, and Ham Radio is Fun!.

In the U.S.A. Ham Radio is celebrating its Centennial this year.

EV> One thing I liked about the Commodore Disk Drive was it had DOS

PQ> That brings back memories. :) Somehow, during swapmeets, I

That sounds like a Utility I'd love to use if I was on a Apple ][,
AND I LOVE UTILITIES!!!!!!!!!!!

... Forget what I said yesterday. The world will end today.
