Don't be too quick to overlook brightness (lumen output).  Are you
going to be projecting primarily in a darkened room?  A room dimly
lighted?  Lights on?   How about the possibility of using the
projector in a larger room sometime in the future?  Zoom?

Most modern projectors have adequate contrast ratios.  It's the older
ones which suffer from poor contrast.  The old projector we use for
our children's ministry lacks good contrast and appears somewhat fuzzy
especially when projecting children's videos.

You can easily spend over $3500 for a projector designed to serve
large audiences.

Also consider purchasing a projector which will compensate for
keystone effect automatically.   I think you're up to speed enough on
what you desire versus price.  Just don't trade off what you really
need for a less expensive model.

I agree with Jeff.   PP should do just fine provided the equipment is
capable.   But then again, you camera bugs are very fussy! <g>
