My New HP Pavillion 630, Intel Pentium 4 3.0 mhz 1.0 GB Ram, 200 GB HD
came with an HP 640b 8X DVD Writer that supports everything,
CD (Plus & Minus) RW,
DVD (Plus & Minus) R, RW & DL
Plus LightScribe CD/DVD Lasor SilkScreening
Graphic Lables on the lable side of the Disk.

I Also have a second Samsung 16x DVD-Rom
I prefer using Verbatim brand 4.7GB DVD+R

But I have had very few problems with Generic
CD/DVD brands on my HP Writer..

I agree, I have fewer problems with the
DVD+R & DVD+RW and DVD+R DL Disks

 JG>
JG> 2) I specifically went with a SATA drive to try to improve

 JG>
JG> Just some more info for you to use when pondering the world whilst
