Now perform a search from the Start menu. Search your C drive for zonelabs and
zone labs, deleting and folders you come across. Now search for zapro,
zonealarm and zonealarm pro, and delete any files that are found in folders
inside the Programs or Program Files folders. Next, search for Internet logs
and delete the zalogs.txt file you’ll find inside it. Finally, search your
Temp, Windows and/or WINNT folders (including their sub-folders) for the
following files, deleting each in turn: vsdata.dll, vsdata95.vxd, vsdatant.vxd,
vsmonapi.dll, vsnetutils.dll, vspubapi.dll, zlparser.dll and vsutil.dll (if
you’re running McAfee software and you find this in the McAfee folder, leave it
alone). Empty the Recycle Bin, reboot and you can then install a new, clean
version. Don’t choose Upgrade when prompted as this can cause more problems if
the database is corrupt.
