That's basically what I do.  I can always tell from the image file
name where it came from and which partition it should be restored to.

That can occur if you're running TI from the bootable CD.  When
running the program from within XP, drive letters are assigned in the
same order as the XP disk manager.

I usually ignore the drive letter assignment when booting from the CD
since the XP disk manager will sort it out correctly once the OS is up
and running.
