after reading your message, I did a Quick search gor Hard Drive Password
Recovery on "GOOGLE" and the first entry was this listing below
that listed hundreds of different HDD and brands that it worked on..

HDDRecovery recommends A-FF Repair station for the unlocking of most password
locked hard drives

Some newer computers and all laptops support the of setting ATA passwords on
the HDD to prevent unauthorised access to the hard drive.

The password is stored inside the drive in the system area and sometimes in
drive's EEPROM, not in motherboard (we do not mean “BIOS passwordö which just
locks the computer). So, when a user forgets the password, drive does not work
on any PC.
