For simplicity's sake, it would work best to put the printers on one computer. 
However, having them separated doesn't change the setup much.

First, set any firewalls to trust the local subnet (very important). From the
Printers control panel, share the printer and give it a name that folks can use
to identify it.  On any of the other computers, there's a few ways to do it. 
One would be to browse to the computer and double-click on the printer that's
shared.  That will set things up and make it available - no print drivers to
load other than on the original machine.  Another way is to check the Folder
Options control panel (or Tools, Options from any Explorer window) for the
ability to "Automatically search for network folders and printers".  To do
this, once in Folder Options, click on the View tab and look at the first entry
in the Advanced settings section.  There's also other ways to do the same thing
such as the Add Printer icon of the Printers control panel but I prefer to do
the first method.

If you have Simple File Sharing enabled (look at the bottom of the Advanced
settings where you'd look for the automatic search for folders and printers
above), that should be all you need.  If you don't have that set you'll need to
create an account on each machine with all possible usernames and passwords.

The last thing is that the machine that has the printer(s) must be on or
otherwise set up to respond to network print jobs.  Leaving a computer on is an
obvious solution but most folks don't do that.  I have my desktop set to
suspend but to invoke Wake On Lan so access to files and printers is still
available.  It wakes up and is ready in ~10 seconds so you notice a bit of
delay but not much.  To use Wake On Lan your BIOS must support it and you must
set the NIC power settings to allow this. To set the power setting, go to
Device Manager and get properties on the NIC.  Click on the Power Management
tab (if it's not there, yer hosed) and check the "Allow this device to bring
the computer out of standby" check box.  I also have the first check box
checked but I think that's by default.  Now the computer will monitor network
events and will start up while suspended or hibernated (suspend has faster
response).

Obviously, it all depends on how one chooses to set things up as to whether all
of these steps are needed.  Experiment...
