As I calculate, that would be about 92 degF, not very warm and not a
prob for any cpu I know of. Where is that temp measured?

Bad move.  A fellow can never tell when a need may come up for heatsink
compound (aka thermal grease).  I have some of the good stuf around
here somewhere (arctic silver) but I couldn't find it last time I needed
some. I had to go to Radio Shark, where they charged me $5 or so (enough
for a huge tube) for a tiny little tube of it.  I read your post before
I went to the P.O. today, so I put a little dab in that pkg coming your
way. Sounds from later posts like you already went out and bought some
more for yourself.  I'm not opening the package again.

That's what I have generally done, usually with a razor blade scraper.
It is hard to get the pad material off of there.  Need to be careful not
to scar up the heatsink metal in the area where it meets the die on the
cpu. Especially for chips like the Athlons and Durons with only a very
small metal heat spreader over the die, there is no way I'd trust a used
Berqguist Material pad to reseat just right over the die, even with some
heatsink compound thrown in for good measure. Those chips get so hot so
fast that they need very good heat transfer from the die to the heatsink
right from the first second power is applied.  If there are any air gaps
or bubbles in between the die and the heatsink, the cpu chip can
quickly get fried.  Been there, done that.
