For those sorts of reasons, when I ordered my iMac (online direct from
Apple) this past November, I upgraded the stock 1 GB RAM to 2 GB and the
stock 160 GB hard drive to 250 GB...

With those changes, I've been able to install Windows (XP and Vista) and
several Linux versions using both Parallels Desktop and the new VMWare
Fusion beta... note that the lack of 3D video support in the virtual
sessions limits Vista to its 'Vista Basic' interface, but that's still
quite usable.
