Just got a copy of Brian Livingston/Paul Thurrott's new Windows Vista
Secrets book. (Not a free review copy- I actually spent money on it
because I've respected both of these guy's work over the years).

Brian, some may recall, published a series of Windows Secrets volumes
dating back at least to Win 3.0... but skipped XP. I think he was in a
snit over Product Activation, but I may be mis-remembering. (Can anyone
enlighten me)?

Anyway, the connection to this thread is the book's recommendations
about free fonts. In the whole, the authors (and I) agree with you that
most of the online free fonts are  not very good-- they note "... if you
query a search engine for free fonts, you're likely to get a huge list
of web sites that have truly horrible products".

They recommend Vitaly Friedman's free font list:

It includes 'Delicious', a font they describe as "graceful and
professionally drawn".
