Office has been a big $$$ winner for MS for quite some time.  And it
appears that Office 2007 is not priced out of line with the previous
version (2003).  I also suspect MS may come out with a new version of
Office for the Mac.  Office 2004 for the Mac was designed for the
older Mac PowerPC engine.  Still sells well.

The pricing for Vista may stop many would be users from rushing out
and buying a copy:  (Prices are for the upgrade edition of each)

Home Basic =  $99.99 US

Home Premium = $159.99 US

Business = $199.99 US

Ultimate = $259.99 US

Not much as far as I can see.  I bought a copy of Office XP when it
first came out.  I recently bought the Military Special Edition of
Office 2003 for $59.99 at the local Navy Exchange here in Fort Worth.
I just couldn't pass up that price!

When I installed Office 2003 over Office XP I didn't notice much
difference at all in its working and layout.  Mostly fluff.  Having
had a look at Office 2007 though, it's definitely an improvement and
may be a worthwhile upgrade if the price is right. <g>
