Yes, but I suppose you also read my RANT about Microsoft telling all the
Authorized Microsoft Distributors to remove all XP products from the store
shelves and only sell Vista... That move threw my schedule out the window
(pun intended) and I'm mad as hell that Microsl#t can get away with
blackmailing their customers in that manner.  If they keep this up, I'll be
queuing with Tom to get a piece of Adolph Gates scalp.

The test fire was to take a look at the RAID configuration manager and to
see how difficult it is to set the various RAID configuration options.
It's actually not as intimidating as I had feared it might be and very easy
to understand.  Too bad that partitioning hard drives couldn't be that
simple.

I did discover that the Chinese Intel manufacturing facility switched the
order of the SATA data connectors around when they were configuring the
chipset -- ports 2 & 3 were swapped around for ports 4 & 5.  No biggie, I
just swapped the data cables to the correct drives, but I'll be sure to let
Intel know that I'm less than impressed with their quality control.

I'm thinking it's going to be another couple or three weeks before I can
afford to get the OS.  Jay E. has an Academic Upgrade CD of Windows XP Pro
Service Pack 2 that I'll be sending him the money for.

The wife saw Vista "in action" and then we had an argument.  Bottom line:
MY computer and MY Operating System and if you want to use Vista, you can
move in with your son-in-law!  End of discussion (she's not overly fond of
the SIL).
