In addition to Alan's suggestions, how do you have the software firewall 
set up on those two machines?  You may be excluding the new one.

The usual culprit is not having matching usernames and passwords on all 
machines.

You may also want to check in Folder Options control panel, in the View 
tab (I think - the middle one), all the way at the bottom, whether 
Simple File Sharing is enabled.  That's share-level sharing (ala Win9x) 
- turning that off enables user-level sharing (usernames and passwords).
