When I did DCC I used a Parallel cable between the old P90 (that's gone)
and the laptop, both of them at the time were using W95.
I later put W98SE on the P90 box but I can't remember if I ever used DCC
while I had W98SE on it.

I also "Think" that DCC can also be used with Serial Ports too.

My reasoning for wanting a LAN is because there is no Serial OR Parallel
connectors on the XP box, it has USB, FW and Ehternet I/O connectors.

The NIC card in the 486 box is 10Mbs, but using it would be faster than
recording floppies and putting them in the External Floppy Drive on the
XP box to transfer the data.

BTW I am an old hand at Spanning Disks with PKZIP.  :-)
