My minor glitch is that the Dry Cell Cases Typicaly do NOT come with
charging contancs since Alkaline Dry Cells are NOT supposed to be
re-charges. Making recharging a bit inconvient without removing hte NAmh
cells form the case.

In fact it is not actualy possable becasue the chemical reaction used is
NON reversable. That said the Dry Cell has not used all the chemical mix
at a [point it appears to be Discharges .What is happeinig is that gas
is released i nthe chemical breakdown producing the Voltage. That gas
builds up on the center Positve carbon rod and also the inside of the
container of the cell. Those gas bubbles Raises the intrernal resistance
until the cell cannot provide the desired current. Controlled heating
can cause soem of the gas to be reasorbed giving the cel lthe
"Appearance" of being Re-Charged. In the old days they used to put the
batteries in an Oven. It was a cridical process though as a "Dry Cell"
is not actualy dry. It contains moisture critical to it's operation. Too
much heating and the cel lbecomes useless. Some many years ago
discovered some heating was caused by passing a current in the reverse
direction throuhg the cell and gave the same "Renewal" effect as heating
in the oven. Of course it is a course of diminishing returns as each
renewal process given far less cell capacity then the previous one.

Not possabiblpy you know More then you ever wanted to know about dry
cell chemistry!!  :-)  :-)
