Nice version of Thunderbird available for Linux also.  Something to think about
when you're ready. :)

If that were true, you couldn't add any software.....

I can't imagine putting Linux (dual boot) on your machine's hard drive would
void any warranty, extended or not.  Modifying the hardware (like swapping the
hard drive) might void the warranty, and then again, it may not.  Depends on
what the warranty states in writing.  Take a look at it.

You know Ubuntu is now up to version 7.10, (Gutsy Gibbon) right? Includes a
later version of Open Office, Firefox, and Thunderbird.  If you have some spare
time, download it and give it a try.
