If you install True Image on your HD, you'll also have the option to
open\view compressed images and restore individual files\folders.  The
exact clone you're speaking of is a copy of what's on your HD.  That's
why I asked if you were using compression.  However, if you run True
Image off the recovery CD (on another PC) that does not have True Image
installed, the option of viewing and extracting files\folders will be
missing.

My newer DVD double layer drive is not capable of doing Blue Ray media,
however, my copy of Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 can burn Blue Ray
with a capable drive.  I may opt for an external Blue Ray drive sometime
in the future.  For now making backups to an external USB 2.0 or
Firewire drive is less expensive and easier.  The 160gb USB 2.0 drive I
bought at Costco (SimpleTech) is being used to backup the new MacBook.

I'll be on my way shortly to pickup an Apple external USB keyboard and
mouse from Best Buy to use on the MacBook.  Since I have this nice
Samsung Syncmaster 22" wide screen, I might as well use it with the
MacBook when it's not on the road.
