        It is recognized but the address is faulty. And the change is
    over my head. The Acer IS a desktop.  Aspire M1610. The NIC
    facility is a SiS 191 Ethernet. Not a card, on-board.

        This is a Silicone something. I will find out the rest. Got
   it, it is a Silicone Integrated System, 191 Ethernet LAN Chipset.

        Read about the keyboard now on the other system when running
   U'U. I fiddled with that for two hours too and it will not see any
   KB. Strange ! Is it me ?  I will try tomorrow to insert back into
   that system, the HD that was first used for U'U, I HAVE to get one
   going right. That HD was doing good even if I had to validate the
   Ethernet every time.

        Hey, I am still having fun, in spite of myself.
     
       
...    I finally got TI to work on my Vista.
...      Peace of mind now, three back ups.
