There is software to mount an ISO file, which simply means to look inside and
see what's there as if it were already written to a disc. Otherwise, every OS I
know will simply see one large file - not particularly useful.  Since the ISO
file contains a block by block copy of the original disc (CDs/DVDs don't use
sectors in the traditional sense), it may be easier to think of this as the
same sort of file that TI would make if you did a full backup of a hard drive. 
You'd get one large file (assuming you set TI to not chop the file into smaller
sizes and use NTFS to support >4GB files).  Not useful until you use software
again (TI, in this case) to either write the whole image file back to a hard
drive, which would give you a bootable, working copy of the original data, or
browse the contents to view/extract.

So, writing the image to a disc to restore the complete contents as if the disc
were just manufactured would give you a bootable disc that you can use to do
anything the original disc allowed.  Consider the Windows installation disc -
you can create an ISO image of it to store on your hard drive and later write
it to another disc and install the OS as normal.  The whole point of an ISO
file, which isn't obvious to many folks, is to simply be able to transfer a
disc from one location to another without sending a physical disc.  When we
talk about an ISO file, we're usually talking about needing to use this image
file (the ISO file) to create another exact duplicate of the original disc.

Finally, you can, in fact, use that ISO file you still have on your hard drive
to create a bootable CD.  You just have to do so correctly.  You don't copy it
to a disc as you would a digital image or other data file - you must tell the
software to write the image to disc as a complete CD.  How you do this varies
with the software and I've only done it using the Roxio software as well as
from Linux.  I believe you use Nero so I can't give you step-by-step directions
but you should either be able to right-click on the ISO file and chose
something like "write to disc" or "create CD" - Roxio says "Burn with Creator"
where Creator will recognize that it's an ISO file and essentially copy it to a
disc, as if you were doing a disc to disc copy - or start Nero (or whatever)
and use the menus (and help system) to determine the proper procedure.

No, it would take extraordinary measures to use the driver from one OS on
another.  While Linux has an "ndiswrapper" package available for using Windows
wireless NIC drivers, there's no such thing for using Windows printer drivers
directly.  Off you go to the links I sent you for directions on how to get the
printer working in Ubuntu.

It may be easier to either use another printer or to not use a Lexmark...
