        A proper Huh ? here, Alan. Not really my bad but I might have
   caused this. I wrote the first message to Robert, got back to it
   with a note to not reply to it as a following message was
   correcting the situation. The time stamp was then caused by my
   accessing it again. So solly !

        This one is definitely my bad. NTI said something about
   getting the CD ready for the .iso. Not format as I mentioned. I
   guess that it got your attention, hey ?

        The ISO got copied. As I mentioned to Robert, read it over
   again, I had the SW running and was looking for the D/L'd  .iso,
   found it and 2-clicked on it, that was the trick. Should you read
   my message to Robert again, you will see that it got made bootable
   and I did try it, it booted even if after the fact, I did not do
   anything about it. I had to use F-12 to change the booting device
   and after this, I got to the BIOS and made the CD boot first, just
   in case.

        My rambling sure got the echo awake. Thanks to all again.
     
       
...    Ubuntu has been side-lined for the time being.
