I would do just that but this is on a Windows 2000 Pro computer and there
is not a "c:\windows\system32\tweakui.exe" file...

I have the following:

    C:\WINNT\Help\Tweakui.cnt
    C:\WINNT\Help\Tweakui.gid
    C:\WINNT\Help\Tweakui.hlp
    C:\WINNT\inf\Tweakui.inf
    C:\WINNT\inf\Tweakui.pnf
    C:\WINNT\System32\Tweakui.cpl

To install Tweakui, one must select the TWEAKUI.INF file, right click and
then choose Install...  I've tried doing that twice more, but no joy.

I have very likely done as Alan has stated-- "used a TweakUI option to make
it impossible to access TweakUI."

I'll have to remember that for the next time I redo the Windows 2000 Pro
installation (in two years time)...  :-))  It's probably a good thing that
I had most of the tweaks set in the manner that I required _BEFORE_ I hit
that option check box.

I did a "Google" for a 'restore tweakui to control panel' and got a vast
number of hits.  After reading a number of reports, I guess I shot myself
in the foot or else I should refine my search parameters for Google.

I'll do a Regedt search for tweakui next.
