There was a TV show that had an MIT student who was 'wireless' to
the internet with a mini display inside is eyeglasses and a one
handed keyboard. This was maybe a decade ago or more?

The theory is "why encourage rendundancy?". If the author or
one of his admirers is already paying to store the files why
duplicate that effort/expense? Authors enjoy counting page
'hits' so that they know people are using their software. If I
put the file(s) at my server the author might lose interest and
do no updates _ever_.

Some of the DOS and W31 files have already disappeared from
Microsoft's server. If you review my links to those update
files you will see that I had to re-locate them on other
servers. I think at least 3 different servers are used for
those links at my website? 

Finding these files a 2nd or 3rd time to restore broken links
is even more difficult now that many of the ARCHIE servers have
been taken offline and many that remain only cover limited
areas (i.e. France, Poland, Asia, etc.).
