I replace the 160 GB drive in my MacBook with a Seagate Momentus series 7200
rpm 500 GB drive- they claim that the Momentus drives are more shock resistant
(etc) than typical notebook drives, which seems a good thing!

Rather than clone or restore the 160 GB drive onto the bigger one, I used the
Time Machine backup from my iMac- since that all the data files that I had been
backing up across the network from my laptop... finally having the space to
store music, video, and photos on the laptop, that made more space.

There's a boot utility specific to Dell Minis-- DellEFIBootMaker.

The RunCore SSD with built in USB connector arrived at the door moments ago, so
I may try installing it tonight... we'll see if it works.
