I went to Best Buy yesterday afternoon and browsed their offerings of Netbooks.
 Unfortunately they did not have the Toshiba in stock at this particular store
so I couldn't get a close up look.  However, they did have just about
everything else including the 10" Dell and a very expensive Sony Vaio Netbook.
($500)  But I guess you get what you pay for because the Sony was the best of
the lot. :)

On the way back home I decided to stop in at Wal-Mart and look around. To my
surprise they had an Acer Netbook for $278.00 which sold for $349.00 at Best
Buy!  I played around with the Acer for awhile.  It was actually a nice
machine.  It had 1 GB of memory and could be upgraded to 2 GB. 160 GB hard
drive, web cam, 3 USB ports and the usual assortment of junk software preloaded
along with XP Home SP3.

After fooling around with the various Netbooks I'm not sure how usable one
would be to us for ministry use away from our church location. The only real
advantage is size and weight.  I can certainly see where they would be great
for student use in class.  Toting one around in a back pack is a lot easier
than a full size notebook, even a 13" MacBook.
