Charles,

A few months ago my older brother who has Cable Broadband with Insight,
decided that he wanted to move the computer gear into another room.

Insight installed a Wi-Fi Modem (Router?) in the old room the equipment
was in and connected a piece of USB gear on the computer in the new
room.

That USB thing was so he could connect to the internet by Wi-Fi to the
Router in the old room.

His connection tells him it is a UNsecured connection.

I don't know enough how I could enable security on it so I told him to
call Insight to get them to set their equipment to WPA2 security.

I talked to him this afternoon and he hasn't called Insight yet.

He told me he is thinking about calling them and having them run a
Ethernet cable to his new computer room from the old room the gear was
in.

He thinks his computer has been used by someone else because one time he
wanted to turn off his XP SP3 computer and got a message about their
being some other users logged in.

He turned it off anyway.

We haven't been able to go to his house because he takes Dyalysis(sp?)
because of his Kidneys and could catch something from my wife who has
been to see the Doctor for the past few weeks for her problem with
Broncitsis(sp?).

When my wife gets well we will go over there and try to help him with
his computering, I hope he has had Insight over by then.

I just remembered him saying that he has heard that Insight will be
increasing their Cable Broadband speed and he might be waiting so he can
upgrade to a faster data rate.

I hope he doesn't wait for that to occure.
