There used to be a Theme (or such) setting that could use larger fonts en mass
for anything to do with your desktop. Inside an application like Notepad,
you'll likely have to up your font size individually. Also worth checking, is
that you are using a 60Hz refresh rate. That is likely (Always?) the native
refresh rate of any LCD.
