They're really nice.  We had one in a church office that I worked in for awhile
several years ago.  Convenient and saves paper.  The only thing we found out
was that the roller mechanisms had to be kept clean
so that when the sheet was sucked back in to be flipped over, it didn't crinkle
or get pushed sideways.

I've got to agree. Lexmark's reputation with Mac users is also at an all time
low.  Lousy driver support, poor phone support, and just generally constructed
of poor quality.  And yes, unfortunately Dell printers are re-branded Lexmark.

We had a Dell color laser in the same church office.  It turned out to be a
"white elephant".  Each toner cartridge was $85 discounted (it used four) and
the drum was $200 which also required replacement after so many copies.  We'll
never go that route again.

My HP 1012 laser that I use for BW printing is like that.  I probably do a lot
more printing than August but still can get 3000 to 3500 copies from a single
refilled toner cartridge.  I buy them on line for around $25 including SH.

Nice thing about HP toner cartridges on most of their BW laser models is that
the drum and cartridge is one unit.  Other internal parts generally last a long
time.  Rubber deterioration of the rollers and lifters is usually the biggest
culprit.
