Kommentar till en text av JAMES BRADLEY
Ärende: it was set back to 960 X
================================
JB>On or about 02-24-10 22:33, ED VANCE allegedly uttered "it was set back to 9
JB>X" to JAMES BRADLEY:

JB> JB>No, it wouldn't help. Those settings are in the desktop
JB> JB>properties tabs. I'm [...]
JB> JB>right clicking your blotter, (desktop) and going to the
JB> JB>properties selection
JB> JB>There, one of the tabs should give you the option to change everything f
JB> JB>colour to font size of everything on the GUI. [...]
JB> JB>could change. Anyway, I think it is the "buttons", or "notifications" or
JB> JB>something in that order you are looking to increase the font size to.

James,

I have looked and looked around at every setting I can find (or what
others have told me of), and I think I have got it set the best way that
I can.

All the help is very much appreciated.

JB> EV> The Display settings in XP Control Panel are still set at 1280 X 1024
JB> EV> but every time I scoot my chair up closer to the screen to read the
JB> EV> Tiny writing in the Tinyer than usual window that shows up on my
JB> EV> screen, I want to go back to the 960 X 600 setting and put up with the
JB> EV> blurred I(i)'s, L(l)'s whatever because B4 I set the Display settings
JB> EV> to the Native Monitor settings, the blurred l's and i's was the only
JB> EV> problem I had in reading what was on this 19" LCD Monitors screen.

JB>Well, there is a way to increase the font with any resolution, but it's up t
JB>you if you want to do that, or:

JB> EV> Right now, at least, I am getting a little exercise scooting up and
JB> EV> back, aren't I? ;-)

JB>... Get exercise.

;-)

JB> JB> EV> I'm living with it set up as it is right now, and I know I can go b
JB> JB> EV> to the older settings I had set up myself manually whenever I want

JB>Or... Return to a lower resolution.

JB> JB>You used to be able to save your own themes.

JB> EV> I have never used a windurs theme, and that is since my Win 3.1 days in
JB> EV> early 1994, when I got my 486 PC Compatible built for me (Feb 94).

JB>That's not what I suggested. If you want to *start* with one of the large fo
JB>schemes, that's up to you. If you want to change the font size to the
JB>"notification/button/whatever" settings, you can save that as your, "My cha
JB>wheels are wearing out the floor" scheme that has an increased font. If you
JB>find the "i" still looks like a "l" after living with that, you can change t
JB>font itself - or the point setting - under "My chair wheels are wearing out
JB>floor Mk. II". "Wash, rinse, repeat..."

That sounds interesting.

JB> EV> Stay tuned for the later chapters in the adventures of Ed vs. LCD
JB> EV> display/Display settings.

JB>Ed vs. the floor-boards by the sounds of things. <EG>

JB>... None so deaf as those who will not hear. - English proverb

I don't know if you hand picked the above tagline but it sounds good.

BTW I didn't hand pick the tagline below, it was randomly selected by
the reader program.

I did notice the tagline selected before I started replying to your
reply to me, but I decided to let it stay on this message. ;-)
