Right now, I'm having "fun" trying to synchronize audio recorded on the
computer with video.

We had a homecoming (or, reunion) service at church this past Sunday.  I
set the video camera up and videotaped the event, but couldn't plug the
video camera into the PA system (no audio input, not even an external
mic input on the camera).  I had the laptop plugged into the PA system,
and recorded the audio at a good quality setting, higher than I normally
use.

Since Pinnacle Studio lets me add audio tracks to a project, I've had
success before with synchronizing audio from another source (2nd video
camera, CD recording of an event that was videotaped, etc.)

"So," says I to myself, "I'll do that with this video!  Shouldn't be too
difficult!"  Um, sorry, but it isn't turning out as easy a job as I
thought.  I can get one part of the audio sync'd up, but then audio
later on gets out of sync.  I don't know if it's a side-effect from
shrinking and expanding the time line view in Pinnacle Studio, or what it
is.  But, I ended up having to divide segments of the audio recording,
and sync up the individual segments.  Finally got it, I think, but it
wasn't quite as easy as the last time I tried it, for some reason.

What I do is add the secondary audio track, and then expand the time line
so it's easier to exactly put the audio where I want it.  I keep both
audio tracks "on", so I can hear if they're sync'd or not.  If they
aren't, I move the audio track another .0x of a second either way, until
they're synchronized.

It's easier than it sounds, at least normally.  For some reason, this
time I had a little trouble with it.  Still managed to get it all lined
up, though.
